Henrietta (Harriet) Stephen (nee Ravenscroft was the daughter of Rev. William Ravenscroft of Dublin University and Priscilla (nee Brooks). In 1821 Henrietta married solicitor George Stephen, who was knighted in 1838. They had six children. The Stephens lived in London until 1824 then moved to Hamstead.
